This course is aimed at anyone who is required to operate compact cranes with little or no compact crane experience. Good hand-to-eye coordination is essential for compact crane or spider crane operation. No previous experience is required for the A66 training, however, at Emerson, we deliver both A66a and A66d at Foundation level and Experienced. We provide thorough and practical training to ensure you are completely qualified to operate compact cranes.

Description

The Importance Of Slinger Signaller Training

We provide three levels of A66 training to support the complete novice through to experienced staff for both A & D categories.

A66a & A66d Compact Crane Operator

These 5 day courses are designed for people with little or no experience or understanding of lifting operations. The candidate may have little crane or machine operating experience, as our course provides more dedicated support to help candidates through the theory and practical elements. You should have a basic understanding of the Health and Safety requirements before beginning this course but when it comes to operating a compact or spider crane, we offer our advice and guidance all the way through. Our courses cater for candidates that have varying levels of experience.

A66a and A66d Compact Crane Operator Experienced

These 3 day courses are suitable for crane operators who are experienced in operating other types of cranes such as Mobile Crane or general crane and lifting operations.

The A66a course aims to provide candidates with the skills and understanding to safety operate a static crane i.e. Spider Crane. This course is for potential and existing operators who have received no formal instruction and those requiring refresher training.

The learning outcomes include:

✓ How to prepare and check equipment for work
✓ Operating the crane safely and productively with and without a load
✓ Calculating if the load is within crane capacity
✓ Recognise the principles of safe slinging and balancing a load
✓ How to routinely apply maintenance to the crane
✓ Observe the safe statutory regulations for lifting equipment and legal responsibilities
✓ Manoeuvring in confined spaces
✓ Loading & unloading procedures for machine transportation.

This A66 Compact Crane test and training course is suitable for anyone who wishes to operate A66 Compact 360 Pick and Carry Cranes on construction sites.
