In July 2014 Thames Water asked Emerson’s to help rebuild a disabled bridge at Oxford Sailing Club used to allow disabled sailors to board the pantoon which had been damaged by the storms in February that year. Without hesitation Emerson’s offered to donate their services and using the 200t Liebherr the team lifted the 2t disabled bridge back into position.
Due to the great work on-site and the safety first attitude from the team involved we received some really great feedback from Thames Water, here is a quote from the time by our Managing Director, Liam Clancy:
”I’m extremely proud of the combined efforts which has contributed to receiving this feedback from Thames Water, and not only for this lift it shows very positive signs of the progress we are making in terms of moving forward as a business.”
Managing Director, Liam Clancy
This also led to Emerson Crane Hire featuring again in Thames Water’s monthly publication ‘The Source’:
